Service Description

FBA is the process of gathering and analyzing information about the student's behavior and accompanying circumstances in order to determine the purpose or intent of the actions. FBA was designed to help us: -determine the appropriateness of placement and services -identify positive interventions to reduce the undesirable behavior -develop appropriate behaviors to be substituted in replacement of the inappropriate ones. An in-depth and comprehensive assessment for children ages 2 and up. 5 Steps in Conducting an FBA 1: Identifying the Problem 2: Collect Information to Determine Function 3: Categorize the Behavior: Form a Hypothesis 4: Planning Interventions 5: Evaluating the Effectiveness of the Plan The approximate administration and scoring time for this example battery would be 3-4 hours observation ($1000), 1 hour of records review ($175), 3 hours of report writing ($525) and 1-1.5 hours of the results review and consultation ($175) for a total cost of $2000
