Registered Behavior Technician 

A registered behavior technician supports and implements a client care plan created by a Qualified Health Practitioner. They provide ABA interventions that encourage socially acceptable replacement behaviors so clients can build and improve upon their communication, social interaction, and problem-solving skills. What this looks like in practice varies greatly, since behavioral therapy is so specific to an individual patient’s needs.

The job duties RBTs perform every day include:

  • Providing direct client care in one-on-one and group settings

  • Following the behavior reduction and behavioral skill acquisition protocols

  • Collecting and recording data based on client behavior

  • Communicating with clients, parents, and caregivers regarding client progress

  • Assisting the Senior Counselor with behavior reduction assessments and skills acquisition

  • Assisting the Senior Counselor in the preparation of client materials

This position is Part-Time, averaging 10-20 hours per week to start, with the possibility to increase up to 30 hours within the first 60 days.  The new prospect should have at minimum 1 year working with neurodivergent individuals of all ages, a valid RBT Certification, no criminal background, reliable transportation and the ability, when necessary, to work with elevated behaviors in clients. 

Our ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills: written and verbal, ability to maintain positive rapport with clients, their caregivers, counseling team and administrative team. Candidate should fully understand and maintain complete client confidentiality and ethical guidelines.

NOTE:

Our goal is to provide direct intensive behavior intervention in a comfortable, convenient way to our clients. 

 

Our client's frequency of service is based on thorough assessment provided at intake, but sessions are typically 45 - 75 minutes in length and each client receives 3-5 hours per week in direct therapy. Caseloads vary but could include up to 10 clients. 

You will be provided with 30 days of paid supervision training which includes: 

  • shadowing the Senior Counselor

  • building treatment plans

  • creating data reports

  • building rapport with clients

  • direct services with clients while Senior Counselor is present

  • completing session notes 

Speech Language Pathologist

Purpose:

 

The Speech/Language Pathologist assists in developing speech and language skills to facilitate the personal, social, and intellectual development of students. In order to respond to the individual needs and abilities of students, the Speech/Language Pathologist must work closely with the staff and administration of the clinic.

 

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent.

2. Masters degree from an accredited college/university.

3. Texas valid certificate

4. Desire to continue career improvement.

 

Essential Functions:

1. Assist in developing speech and language skills to facilitate the personal, social, and intellectual development of students.

2. Establish a positive learning environment and respond to the individual needs of students.

3. Ensure that all activities conform to clinic guidelines.

4. Communicate effectively with all members of the clinic and community.

5. Work effectively with community organizations.

6. Appropriately operate all equipment as required.

7. React to change productively and handle other tasks as assigned.

8. Support the value of an education.

9. Support the philosophy and vision of the clinic.

 

Physical Requirements/Environmental Conditions:

1. Requires prolonged sitting or standing.

2. Occasionally requires physical exertion to manually move, lift, carry, pull, or push heavy objects or materials.

3. Occasional stooping, bending, and reaching.

4. Requires some travel.

5. Must work in noisy and crowded environments.

 

General Responsibilities:

1. Assist in the early recognition and prevention of educational problems.

2. Monitor student progress and make informed, timely educational decisions.

3. Conduct speech, language, and hearing screenings and diagnostic evaluations to determine the need for clinical services.

4. Participate as a team member in the comprehensive evaluation, review, and reevaluation process.

5. Participate in the development of student IEP's.

6. Consult with parents, teachers, administrators, and others concerning the needs of students and special services that are available.

7. Assist teachers in the development and implementation of curriculum modifications and appropriate classroom strategies.

8. Refer students and their families to appropriate community agencies and services.

9. Cooperate with agencies serving students and their families.

10. Provide therapy, followup, and/or consultation based on student IEP's and or treatment plans.

11. Motivate students through effective communication and evaluative feedback.

12. Demonstrate awareness of the needs of students and provide for individual differences.

13. Set high expectations for student achievement and behavior.

14. Demonstrate effective interpersonal relationships with others.

15. Establish and maintain a positive climate for learning through appropriate classroom management.

16. Plan and implement transitional programs for students.

17. Assist students in developing feelings of selfworth and in making social adjustments which permit them to cope with disabilities.

18. Maintain appropriate, confidential records and provide timely reports.

19. Order and maintain an adequate inventory of materials and supplies.

20. Supervise and train staff members as assigned.

21. Assist with public awareness activities which lead to a better understanding of the needs of exceptional children.

22. Keep abreast of new information, innovative ideas, and techniques.

23. See that clinic policies are observed during all activities.

24. Obtain advance approval for all special activities and expenditures.

25. Adhere to clinic health and safety policies, including all precautions of the Bloodborne Pathogens Exposure Control Plan.

26. Other duties as assigned by the Director
