What is a Certified Autism Center (CAC)?

A Certified Autism Center (CAC) is a facility or organization in which at least 80% of front-facing staff is trained in autism and have met professional requirements. A CAC can be a number of industries, such as healthcare, education, or recreation, for example. The CAC does require training in autism, as well as other supports from IBCCES, and must be renewed periodically with ongoing training in order to be maintained.
